Canadian women, including expecting women, have the right to perform basic health checkups for themselves at home if they so choose. The Mothers’ Aid Society of Canada is currently developing resources to aid Canadian women in effectively taking private responsibility for their own prenatal care. While MASC does not provide medical advice as it is not qualified to do so, MASC will provide medical information, intended for use by women who have freely decided, independently of MASC, to take responsibility for their own prenatal care in whole or in part.
